Built with the assisstance of Andy Webb, Arek Zykin and Jarek Blaszczyk. The designs were developed from workshops with local residents whose drawings are incorporated into the gates.
A commission for four giant gates from the Southern Housing Foundation for the Timber Wharves Estate, Isle of Dogs, London to provide security for car parks under the Epping Close and Sherwood Gardens blocks of flats. Each gate represents a major river - the St Lawrence, the Ganges, the Nile and London's River Thames. It is claimed to be the largest permanent public art commission in London since the mid nineteen eighties.
